Delete your SnapMyBills account and data

This page applies to the SnapMyBills Android app, published by Taron & Levi Company. You do not need to sign in or reinstall the app to read these instructions or email a deletion request.

Current production release

SnapMyBills is local-first. Core bill, payment, debt, budget, reminder, report, and settings data is stored in an encrypted database on your device. The current release does not connect to banks, collect bank credentials, import bank transactions, or move money. Any linked-bank or shared-household wording retained below describes an inactive legacy or planned design.

Cloud records are limited to account identity and sessions, Google Play entitlement verification, structured AI extraction and usage-control records, optional notification data, security records, and support or deletion records. User-selected raw bill images are not stored in TLC D1 or R2.

Deleting the SnapMyBills account removes or de-identifies eligible cloud records and the in-app flow clears the local database and session. An active Google Play subscription must be managed or canceled separately in Google Play.

Delete inside SnapMyBills

  1. Open SnapMyBills and sign in.
  2. Open Settings and scroll to Data.
  3. Select Delete SnapMyBills account.
  4. Review the household effect and select Delete permanently.

Keep the app online until it signs out. SnapMyBills revokes eligible linked-bank access, deletes or de-identifies server records as described below, clears the encrypted local database, and removes the local session.

Request deletion without the app

Email [email protected] from the Google email used for SnapMyBills. Use the subject SnapMyBills account deletion. We may ask you to verify control of that email before processing the request. Never send a password, online-banking credential, MFA code, Plaid token, payment-card number, or government identifier.

If you are the last household owner

The active household and its account, bill, transaction, budget, debt, savings, work-and-pay, notification, device, session, synchronization, audit, and linked-institution records are deleted from active SnapMyBills systems. Revocation of a provider connection is attempted even if that provider is temporarily unavailable; encrypted local access tokens are removed regardless.

If another household owner remains

Your membership, sessions, devices, notification preferences, Work & Pay profile, SnapMyShift link, imported shifts, and linked institutions are removed. Your name, email, profile image, and Google identifier are de-identified in shared household history retained for the remaining owner. Shared records the other owner still needs may remain without your direct identity.

What this does not change

Deleting SnapMyBills does not move money, cancel a bill, close a bank account, reverse a transaction, change payroll, delete records held by a financial institution, or cancel an unrelated Google Play purchase.

Limited retention

A minimal hashed deletion-completion record and limited security, fraud-prevention, legal-compliance, backup, or dispute records may be retained where reasonably necessary or required by law. They are not used to reactivate the deleted account or for advertising.
